This year, the 7^th ICC Africa Conference on International Arbitration was held in Lagos from May 31 to June 2, 2023. The conference coincided with the 100-year anniversary of the International Court of Arbitration and brought together top international practitioners and academics to discuss the most pressing issues affecting the African dispute resolution landscape.

The theme for the conference was “International Arbitration and ADR: The African Journey So Far and Looking Forward”. In addition to serving as a platform for African arbitration professionals to showcase their competence, discuss pertinent issues, and strengthen the continent’s position in the global arbitration landscape, the event also facilitates knowledge sharing, collaboration, and networking, ultimately, fostering the growth and recognition of international arbitration in Africa.
